Lenten Small Group Bible Studies
The Adult Christian Education Team is beginning to solicit names of folks to lead small group Bible studies and host the studies. IF you know of someone who was either of these gifts, please contact Sandy Hines or Greg Rahe.
Abundant Harvest Meals
Sign up to help serve and clean-up for Abundant Harvest Meals. Messiah Lutheran Members will be helping out on the third Thursday of each month starting at 5:00 pm. Young people and families are encouraged to help. Please contact the church office to sign up to help.
Youth Friends Needed
Holidays are about helping people in need, and Youth Friends is in need of your help. Youth Friends is coordinated with the school district and matches caring adults with children from grade school through high school. You are asked to commit time each week to a specific student. That time might include playing games, reading a book, talking, creating a project or, occasionally, catching up on homework.
They currently have about 70 kids on the waiting list and that number continues to grow each and every day with referrals. The flip side is that our mentor numbers continues to decrease and we do not have enough mentors for all of the kids that need our help. They are now asking for your help and anyone else that you think would like to be a mentor and donate just one hour a week to help make a difference in a child's life. If you would like to mentor, please contact Amanda Rodriguez at 341-2396.
