Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is a unique opportunity to serve the Lord in a vital and meaningful way. The team works to prepare the altar area for worship throughout the year. The duties include changing the altar paraments and banners to coordinate with the events of the church year. Contact Sheila Duncan.

Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML)

Led by the Holy Spirit, the LWML Kansas District will equip women to proclaim Christ, support missions, and serve the Lord with gladness. (https://www.kansaslwml.org/)

We have two LWML groups that meet once a month at Messiah. Ruth's Circle meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. and Dorcas Circle meets on every 3rd Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m. If you would like to get involved, contact Sandy Lahr.  

 

Greeter

Greeters serving on our Greeter Ministry team greet members and guests as they enter the building on Sunday mornings. They also help direct people to the appropriate locations, such as the sanctuary and Sunday School rooms.

Acolytes

Persons in 3rd grade and up can volunteer to be an acolyte for the traditional and contemporary services. Training is provided. 

​

Usher

Ushers assist guests and members with finding a seat for worship, collect offering, direct communion, and count attendance. 

​

Visual Team

Our Video Team plays a vital role in the worship life of Messiah. These volunteers run projection for all three worship services which includes running our 11:00 a.m. service livestream. The Visual Team welcomes volunteers who are 13 years of age and older. Training is provided.
